Acticide MBS is a biocide for industrial water treatment. It is particularly suitable for formaldehyde-free emulsions.
It is based on 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT) and 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT).
Acticide MBS is recommended for the wet state preservation of a wide range of aqueous products including paints, polymer emulsions, adhesives, ceramic glazes, fillers and sealants.
This product is particularly effective in products having an alkaline pH and for the preparation of ecologically acceptable formulations. Acticide MBS is CIT, AOX and VOC-free.
Acticide MBS has excellent biocidal properties and a very broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, fungi and yeasts. It offers great protection specifically against Pseudomonas spp.
Normal use concentrations are in the range of 0.20 % - 0.40 %, depending on the product to be protected and the environmental conditions.
pH-value of the concentrate is between 8.0 and 9.5.
