Rustilo Aqua 2 FD is a medium-term rust preventive which is used as an emulsion. It leaves an ultra-thin, oily film on components after the evaporation of the water phase.
It is recommended to use as inter-operational protection for all components made of steel, cast iron, yellow metals, aluminium and its alloys.
The advantages of using Rustilo Aqua 2 FD are the lower fire hazard than solvent-based products, and you can also use it as a mild cleaner, which makes the product cost-effective.
The concentration of use is recommended typically between 10% and 20%.
It is important, that you should make the emulsion by adding the Rustilo Aqua 2 FD to the water and not the water to the concentrate.
The protective film can be applied by immersion of flooding, preferably at 50 - 60 °C to support drying and to limit bacterial growth. The protective film must be completely dried before packaging the parts.

Corrosion protection time, indoor storage, 20% emulsion: 8 - 12 months
Outdoor storage is not recommended with this product.
