Corrosion Preventives
Solvent-free, general-purpose corrosion preventive oil for short-term protection.
It is especially recommended in cold rolling mills, rod and wire drawing works. Due to its good deep drawing properties, Rustilo 637 is also suitable for the protection of cold-rolled vehicle body sheets in light forming operations.
It can also be used as testing liquid for hydraulic equipment as well as leakage testing fluid for gears, pumps and tanks.
Rustilo 637 can be applied by immersion, brushing or spraying. The film does not harden even long after the product has been applied, it remains oily.
If required, the protective film can be easily removed by using a petroleum solvent or alkaline process cleaner.
This product is free of solvents and heavy metals, such as barium.
Corrosion protection, indoor storage: 6 months
For outdoor storage it is not recommended.

Protective film thickness: 3 - 5 µm
Viscosity at 40 °C: 37 mm2/sec
This product was renamed in 2015, its previous name was CASTROL SafeCoat 637.
