Heat Transfer Oils
Heat transfer oil for closed heat transfer systems with bulk temperatures up to 300 °C. Perfecto HT 5 can also be used in open systems at much lower bulk oil temperatures.
Because of its characteristics, Perfecto HT 5 serves as excellent turbine flushing oil.
Perfecto HT 5 is based on a solvent-refined, high viscosity index mineral oil specially selected for its high thermal and oxidation stability.
Before use the heat transfer system should be checked for any leakage then flush the system with Perfecto HT 5. Do not use water for this purpose. After the flushing and draining the flushing fluid, you can fill the system with fresh fluid. When the oil level in the expansion tank reaches 30-40% of the expected level in operating temperature, the filling is completed. This is necessary because of the expansion of the hot oil.
Castrol Perfecto HT 5 has good oxidation stability. However, the oil contact with air is recommended to be minimal, especially when the temperature of the fluid in the expansion tank is above +50 °C. Floating lid or inert gas can be used to help the separation.
