BP Enersyn SG-XP 460
Industrial Gear Oils
Enersyn SG-XP 460 is recommended for high-temperature lubrication of gears and bearings. It can be used for +150 °C continuous temperature and up to +220 °C for short periods.
Enersyn SG-XP 460 is based on polyglicol, so it has way better thermal- and oxidation-stability than mineral oil based gear oils. Higher thermal-stability ensures the minimal formation of sludge and deposits.
Enersyn SG-XP 220 is not miscible with mineral oils.
Enersyn SG-XP 460, are compatible with nitrile rubber (NBR), fluoro-silicone rubber (FVMQ), and vinyl-methyl-polysiloxane rubber (VMQ) seals.
However, these gear oils are not compatible with regular industrial paints. Gearboxes should be left unpainted internally or should be painted with two-component coatings such as epoxy resins.
