CASTROL Aircol SW 68
Refrigeration Oils
Aircol SW 68 is a synthetic refrigeration compressor lubricant made from polyolester base stocks. It is specifically designed for use with refrigeration systems using environmentally friendly HFC refrigerants, in particular R134a.
Aircol SW 68 has been formulated to enhance hydrolytic stability, load carrying and inhibition against copper plating. They are wax free and hence have very low pour points. This ensures the evaporator remains clean (consquent efficient heat transfer) and reduces the risk of pipe blockages.
Typical characteristics:
Viscosity at 40 °C (104 °F): 68 mm2/sec - ISO VG 68
Viscosity at 100 °C (212 °F): 8.5 mm2/sec
Pour point: -39 °C (-38 °F)
Flash point, closed cup: 245 °C (473 °F)
Aircol SW 68 was previously called CASTROL Icematic SW 68.
