Syntilo R 4 is a mineral oil based coolant for a wide range of machining methods. Using this product, you can work both on ferrous metals and aluminium alloys. The product's main strength is its lubricity so it can be used for heavy-duty operations.
Castrol Syntilo R 4 has low foam tendency and provides excellent corrosion protection in recommended concentration.
Adding the concentrate to water, it forms clear milky-looking emulsion.
Recommended concentrations:
Grinding: 2.5 - 3 %
Machining of common steel and aluminium alloys: 3 - 5 %
Machining of high alloyed steel: 5 - 8 %
Syntilo R 4 is a product from a previous era and has additives which manufacturers do not use nowadays, because of the modern health and environment protection regulations. That is why its recommended concentrations for the same performance are lower than the current type's recommendations.
