Alkyl-benzene based refrigeration oil for ammonia and R22 refrigeration compressors.
Castrol Aircol 2284 has excellent miscibility characteristics with refrigerants. This lubricant can be used on very low evaporator temperatures. Its low floc point prevents wax formation.
Aircol 2284 is not recommended for use in systems employing screw compressors because of the solubility of refrigerant in the lubricant.
Kinematic viscosity at 40 °C : 68 mm2/sec (ISO VG 68)
Pour point: -33 °C
Floc point with R22: -55 °C
