Polyalphaolefin (PAO) based refrigeration oil for srew type and reciprocating compressors.
Castrol Aircol 2294 has a very low pour point which allows the lubricant to be used in systems where evaporator temperatures are extremely low. It has low miscibility with R22 refrigerant which gives good viscosity stability, because the refrigerant absorption could lower the lubricant viscosity significantly. Hence, this product is not suitable for flooded evaporators in most cases.
The Aircol 2294 can be used for reciporating compressors with high compression ratios and high discharge temperatures. However, it is specifically designed for screw compressors working on low evaporation temperatures.
