Syntilo 9974 BF is a boron and formaldehyde-releasing agents free synthetic coolant for machining of highly-alloyed steels. It provides excellent machining performance on difficult alloys such as inconel and titanium.
Its superb lubricity allows the replacement of conventional neat cutting oils.
It is recommended for honing, milling, turning, boring, drilling, tapping, gear hobbing and broaching on all ferrous alloys.
Syntilo 9974 BF is also recommended for various grinding operations.
This is a synthetic coolant, therefore it rejects the tramp oil to its surface, so it becomes easy to remove.
Recommended concentrations:
Grinding: 4 - 5 %
Milling, turning, general machining: 4 - 10 %
Broaching: 10 - 15 %
Refractometer factor: 1.4
Water hardness compatibility: 0 - 400 ppm CaCO₃ (0 - 22 °dH)
Mineral oil content: 0 %
Appearance of the solution: transparent
pH at 3% dilution: 9.3
Note: It is important to attentively check sealings after you replace a previously used mineral oil containing coolant with a fully synthetic type, because sealings that absorbed oil can be damaged by the oil outwash effect of the synthetic fluid.
